Shalinee JeerakunSenior Associate
Shalinee Jeerakun holds a law degree from the University of Mauritius and after further studies was qualified as an Attorney at Law in 2008.
She also read her Masters in Law (LLM) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She works closely with Mr André Robert, SA at BLC Robert and is responsible of a portfolio of local and international clients. She is very much involved in legal writing (drafting of court procedures, affidavits, etc.); lodging of cases and following them up in Court; giving legal advice to various departments of corporate bodies; assisting Senior Counsels and Attorneys in cases and legal research and contract vetting. She has been involved in various litigation matters for banks, insurance companies and commercial firms and has also appeared pro bono in family law cases.
Shalinee is a lecturer at the University of Technology and she previously lectured at the University of Mauritius.
