Nourine Heera is BLC Robert’s librarian since the past 6 years. She oversees the entire library and its service units to ensure that the services are provided effectively. In collaboration with the team, Nourine championed technological and service innovation in the library, making sure that the legal materials are accessible online. She leads the concept of servicing the partners, lawyers, attorneys and other staff in their research information needs.
With the recent merger of BLC Chambers and Etude Robert, Nourine oversaw the re-alignment of the library service units and the appointment of a new Library Assistant. The library’s collection has expanded, particularly in the area of rare and old law books, and Nourine is managing improvements to the onsite collection storage and renovation of the BLC Robert library.
In her role, Nourine also compiles amendments of legislations for the purpose of updating enactments relevant to the different practices of the firm. She also works on recurrent small scale articles for the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD). Her educational background includes an LL.B. from the University of London, UK, and she is now looking forward for her vocational training to get admitted to practice in Mauritius.
